You will enjoy some fantastic boat rides through the narrow channels amongst the Delta’s incredible scenery and observe the locals’ life goes by while visiting the real floating markets of Cai Rang & Phong Dien. We ensure you will be amazed by lots of the locals’ activities on the rivers, orchards and at the local markets.
08:00 Am: Pick up at your hotel in Saigon, enjoy a pleasant drive on the secondary road 50 (not the Highway 1!!) will take us to Can Duoc market –a stunning rural market on its informal setting and friendly market goers.
Have a short ride on newly built bridge to cross Vam Co river and then drive to Go Cong and pay a short visit Tan Trung village, a beautiful and colorful local Cao Dai Temple –a combination of most of major religions on earth then visit our 2nd “Ta Phnom” in Vietnam.
Upon arriving in Tan Hoa, you will enjoy to hop on the back of a scooter with your own driver through some remote villages dotted with coconut palm
Drive to Tan Thanh beach (5km, muddy beach, not for swimming) for a beautiful seafood lunch at a beach front restaurant. Transfer to BenTre for boat trip to visit some local villages and taking sampan ride on natural canals. Stop by Coconut candy house in the jungle.
Drive to An Binh via Cho Lach for overnight.

7:30 AM. After your breakfast. Transfer to Vinh Long. Take a boat trip to visit CaiBe floating market. Then make our way to CaiThia to cross the river delta and weave through the small canals of Binh Hoa Phuoc island to discover the lush scenery and people working on the farm then Visit real rice paper making family then bicycle ride though lush orchards. (1 – ½ hours) Enjoy your lunch with local delicacy with fresh water fish of “elephant ear-fish”. Transfer back Saigon on highway 1 then Joining with Saigon Trung Luong freeway to Saigon. Drop off at your hotel around 5:00PM. End of the services.

If you’re looking for a short visit to the Mekong Delta then I can certainly recommend Hein’s tour or Vietnam Guiding. We organised a private tour for our party of 9 (4 adults and 5 children) and we had a wonderful time.
“The tour is full of activities which includes a walk around a local market, a 1.5 hour motor bike ride through different villages, boat rides and a visit to 2 floating markets.
The motor bike ride was a real highlight and we stopped several times to feed some goats, walk through rice fields and more.
The local market was extremely adventurous but not for the faint hearted. If you’re traveling with young children be prepared as the locals sell live animals and this was at times distressing to see due to the treatment the animals received. We saw one lady selling tortoises (adults and young) and whist we understand we’re in Vietnam this certainly wasn’t a pleasant sight. We ended up purchasing all 11 of the tortoises and releasing them back into a river which was a satisfying experience, especially for our kids.
After a long day of adventure we arrived in Can To around 5pm and spent the night in a hotel. The hotel was a complete surprise and was extremely luxurious and fun for the kids. We ventured into town for dinner and a visit to the night market and we were picked up at 5:30 the next morning by our guide to head off to the floating market.
The floating market is a must see but I recommend an early night beforehand so you can enjoy it without being too tired.
After the floating market we got back to the hotel around 8:30 for breakfast and we had free time until 12pm when we set off for HCMC.
Vietnam Guiding were extremely accommodating and tailored the tour to our needs. I would certainly recommend them as they took care of everything and made our trip an adventure we will never forget.”
Very organized, professional, well-informed, and friendly guide for a private day-trip through the countywide and to see the Mekong River. You must do an overnight trip to see the Mekong Delta early morning markets and will not see this on a day trip. Great lunch, legitimate local experiences
We’ve had the 2 days private non touristic mekong delta tour, and it’s been a great experience.
Our guide Tam was really nice, very good english-speaking, and he took us to the less crowded places, but more authentic ones. Wet market, floating market, Cao Dai church, Buddhist church, motorbike tour in an agricultural zone, with fresh fruits from the trees (oh, and the rice licors ! 😀 )
That is exactly what I’m expecting from a private tour: not being tourist-crowded, and with authentical visits.
