AUTHENTIC MEKONG 03 DAY TRIP

08:00 am: Pick up at your in Saigon, enjoy a pleasant drive on the secondary road 50 (not the Highway 1!!) will take us to Can Duoc market –a stunning rural market on its informal setting and friendly market goers

Have a short ride on a newly built bridge to cross Vam Co river and then drive to Go Cong and pay a short visit Tan Trung village, a beautiful and colorful local Cao Dai Temple –a combination of most of major religions on earth.

Upon arriving in Tan Hoa, you will enjoy to hop on the back of a scooter with your own driver through some remote villages dotted with coconut palm

Drive to Tan Thanh beach (5km, muddy beach, not for swimming) for a beautiful seafood lunch at a beach front restaurant. Transfer to BenTre for boat trip to visit some local villages and taking sampan ride on natural cannals. Stop by Coconut candy house in the jungle.

Drive to An Binh via Cho Lach for overnight.

8:00am: Say bye to friendly host family then take a car to Cai Thia via Dinh Khao local Ferry . Arrive Cai Thia, enjoy 1,5 hrs biking tours from Cai Thia to Hoa Loc. The biking tour will take you along the Mekong Delta with fruit covered orchards and meet the friendly people of the Mekong who seldom see foreigners in the area. Then take the boat to cross the river delta and weave through the small canals of Binh Hoa Phuoc Island to discover the lush green scenery and people working on their farm. Enjoy lunch with the local delicacy of fresh water fish at one of the bonsai garden of a local house. After lunch, you have an Opportunity to bike further away from the usual tourist area to see rural life. Depending on the day you can see the local boat building, the local production of bricks and earth ware in the area. Transfer & check in hotel in Cantho. free time to explore Cantho by night

6:00am – Take a very early boat trip to visit the unique and stunning floating markets of Phong Dien and Cai Rang. What you need to do is to sit back on your boat, enjoy the morning coffee served by the local coffee boat and watch the whole world of trading going on from boats to boats. Phong Dien is smaller in scale and is more of a retailed one while Cai Rang is bigger and is more of a wholesaled one. If you are fruit lovers, go for the freshest ones here at these markets. As our boat edges through the market, you will be surely driven back to the yester-centuries by the sound of bargaining, rowing, motoring mixed with the sound from the coffee boat, meat boat, grocery boat, ice boats…. Saying goodbye to Phong Dien floating market, our boat will speed up through many channels of the Mekong River stretching along rural villages and arrive in Cai Rang floating market (3 km from Can Tho)- it is much bigger and is more of wholesale market with many more big and motored boats. And this will complete a special picture of around a million floating traders in this region who have been happily living a floating life and earn their living on some 50,000km of waterways in the Mekong Delta. Back to your hotel for a late breakfast, have a short rest, check out and head off for Saigon (170km) with breaks en route for a short visit to a local Cao Dai Temple on the way and witness the Noon Ceremony. Back to saigon on High way 1 and joining Trung Luong – Saigon freeway.
