Itinerary

Dalat City Tour

Tours guide and driver will meet your at your hotel at 0800 for a city tour to include the Summer Palace of the last emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai.Valley of love This palace was built in 1933 in the Art Deco style and contains many artefacts from the French occupation period. Also stop at the Hang Nga “Crazy House” – a guesthouse built in an unusual architectural style unique in Vietnam and comparable to the works of the Spanish artist Antonio Gaudi. Continue on to visit a Zen Buddhist monk cum artist with the opportunity to purchase some of his works. Afterwards take a drive around the Xuan Huong Lake in the centre of Dalat to admire the architecture of this former French Hill Station. In the afternoon drive 12km’s to the north of Dalat to “Lat Village”. Most of the inhabitants of this village are from the “Lat” ethnic minority (this is where Dalat derives its name) but the village also includes members of the Koho, Ma and Chill ethnic minority groups – each speaking a different dialect. Here you will have the opportunity to observe the traditional way of life for the hilltribe people and, if you like, purchase some of their traditional handicrafts before returning to your hotel.
