08:00AM Pick up from your hotel in Saigon, enjoy a pleasant drive on the secondary road 50 (not the Highway 1!!) will take us to Can Duoc market –a stunning rural market on its informal setting and friendly market goers
Have a short ride on newly built bridge to cross Vam Co river and then drive to Go Cong and pay a short visit Tan Trung village, a beautiful and colorful local Cao Dai Temple –a combination of most of major religions on earth. Upon arriving in Tan Hoa, you will enjoy to hop on the back of a scooter with your own driver through some remote villages dotted with coconut palm
Drive to Tan Thanh beach (5km, muddy beach, not for swimming) for a beautiful seafood lunch at a beach front restaurant
Drive from Tan Thanh to My Tho pier (45km). Enjoy a fantastic cruise on the Upper Mekong, lined with many floating fish farms, to Ben Tre then being transferred to small sampan to wind through a green, lush, picturesque and Amazon-like creek of Tan Thach..
Drive through Rach Mieu suspension-bridge for a breath-taking view of the Upper Mekong and its islets. Follow the highway 1 and the freeway to get back to Saigon (75km)

We decided to spontaneously do a Mekong delta tour and stumbled upon The Real Mekong Delta private tours.
It was an amazing day of out of the ordinary tour.
Hien picked us up at 8am and brought us back at 6 pm.
We were well taken care of, did a very non touristic tour and experienced personal insights to the Mekong delta.
Hien and his partner was amazing and the highlight was going thru the villages and getting to meet the locals. We ate dragon fruit directly plucked from a tree and it was the tastiest ever!

We are 2 American adults in our 60s and did the private all day Mekong Delta tour a couple weeks ago.
Our tour guide was Tan who picked us up alobg with a driver in an SUV from our hotel in HCMC.
We had a wonderful day visiting temples, a local market, rising on back of motorbikes in a local village where we stopped to view rice paddies, orchards and a rice husking factory. Highlight was also visiting the home of a local farmer and sharing his local made cobra wine and other types of wine.
Had a large delicious lunch at the edge of the Pacific Ocean and then a private boat ride through the Mekong.
We loved the tour because Tam was very professional, spoke excellent English and university educated and knowledgeable. Also we saw local things with no other tourist or person that looked liked us. There was no shopping and no coconut factory stops – which was perfect.
This tour may cost a little more but totally worth it. One of the best tours on our month trip through Vietnam.
