08:00AM: To be welcomed and picked up at your hotel. Take the back-road 50 (not the Highway 1!!) Can Duoc market (40km) – a stunning rural market on its informal setting and friendly market goers. Have a short ride on a My Loi newly built bridge to cross Vam Co river and then drive to Go Cong Upon arriving in Tan Hoa, you will enjoy to hop on the back of a scooter with your own driver through some remote villages dotted with coconut palm Drive to Tan Thanh beach for seafood lunch at a beach front restaurant (there is no English menu on this restaurant!). Drive from Tan Thanh to My Tho (45km). Enjoy a fantastic cruise on the Upper Mekong, lined with many floating fish farms, to Ben Tre then being transferred to small sampan to get through some green, lush, picturesque and Amazon-like creek of Tan Thach. Drive through Rach Mieu suspension-bridge for a breath-taking view of the Upper Mekong and its islets and take the Highway 1 down to Can Tho (100km). Check in your hotel before enjoy dinner at local restaurants with local specialties

5:00 AM: Take a very early boat trip to visit the unique and stunning floating markets of Phong Dien and Cai Rang. What you need to do is to sit back on your boat, enjoy the morning coffee served by the local coffee boat and watch the whole world of trading going on from boats to boats. Phong Dien is smaller in scale and is more of a retailed one while Cai Rang is bigger and is more of a wholesaled one. If you are fruit lovers, go for the freshest ones here at these markets. As our boat edges through the market, you will be surely driven back to the yester-centuries by the sound of bargaining, rowing, motoring mixed with the sound from the coffee boat, meat boat, grocery boat, ice boats…. Saying goodbye to Phong Dien floating market, our boat will speed up through many channels of the Mekong River stretching along rural villages and arrive in Cai Rang floating market (3 km from Can Tho)- it is much bigger and is more of wholesale market with many more big and motored boats. And this will complete a special picture of around a million floating traders in this region who have been happily living a floating life and earn their living on some 50,000km of waterways in the Mekong Delta. Back to your hotel for a late breakfast, have a short rest, check out and head off for Saigon (170km) with breaks en route for a short visit to a local Cao Dai Temple at Cai Lay town and witness the Noon Ceremony.

Trang picked us up for our 2 day Mekong Delta tour. This tour was surreal moment after surreal moment. My wife and I kept looking at each other like “is this really happening right now?” From the motorbike through the rice paddy, to the homemade rice wines, to the many boats through different parts of the delta, this was a life changing experience. It is difficult to explain- you’ll have to see for yourself. If you can make the time, I *highly* recommend to do at least 2 days of Mekong delta.
Most importantly, the entire time, we felt *SAFE*, *WELL TAKEN CARE OF*, and *WELL INFORMED*
I recommend this company without any hesitation whatsoever. You can do Vietnam cheaper, but you get what you pay for. And this tour was worth every single penny.
